A thicker handle, and the hand stops aching
We made the handle in three diameters: 22, 25 and 28 millimetres.
At 22 it is too thin. With a glove on, the palm cannot close around it and the grip slips after a while.
At 28 it is too thick. A smaller operator cannot close the fist, and by mid afternoon the hand aches.
We settled on 25. It holds firm with gloves and without.
Nobody writes this into a spec sheet. But the person who pulls it fifty times a day knows the difference at the end of the shift.
